Formerly named “1” Sativa Spirits Tincture, the Sativa One Tincture is a sublingual tincture from The Venice Cookie Co. that was formulated to provide patients with an uplifting jolt of energy.
The Venice Cookie Co. Revamps Their Sativa Tincture
Working with a number of dispensaries, The Venice Cookie Co. provides cannabis infused products to medical cannabis patients throughout the state of California. I’ve had the pleasure of sampling a number of their products and they rarely disappoint.
The Venice Cookie Co. product line includes various types of infused products, Cannabis-Infused Lemonade, Grape Cannabis Quencher, Lil’ Tootsies, macaroons and their signature line of 4.20 Bars (Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt, Milk Chocolate + Toffee, and Dark Chocolate + Popping Candy).
In addition to their menu of infused edibles and beverages, The Venice Cookie Co. offers a limited line of tinctures for patients in search of something more immediate. Currently available are the Sativa One Tincture and the Indica One Tinture PM Formula with Cannaroma.
Sativa One Tincture: An Uplifting Tincture In Two Formulas
In my experience, quality tincture can be hard to come by in the average Southern California collective. So, I was happy to see one of my personal favorite vendors introduce their new line of tinctures.
The Sativa One Tincture is available in an alcohol-based formula that is best when mixed with a beverage, and a sesame oil-based formula. Regardless of formula, each half ounce bottle of Sativa One Tincture contains 180mg of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the same dosage as their 4.20 Bars.
The ingredients for the sesame oil formula (white label) is as follows:
- Cannabis Oil
- Sesame Oil
The ingredient for the alcohol formula (blue label) is as follows:
- Cannabis Oil
- USP Ethanol
According to its label, one full dropper of Sativa One Tincture contains around 12mg of THC. While this information is certainly useful, I would like to see more information detailing how much cannabidiol (CBD), cannabinol (CBN), etc. is contained in each dose.
How Might The Sativa One Tincture Affect Me?
It’s not often that I have a chance to review tincture, and I was excited to see what The Venice Cookie Co.’s product had in store. Considering that I was preparing for a 6-hour road trip to Northern California, I decided to try the Sativa One Tincture first.
Before hitting the road, I made the mistake of taking a dropper-full of the alcohol tincture without any sort of beverage – I instantly began to feel the burn of ethanol alcohol under my tongue. The sesame oil formula, on the other hand, is much milder and can be applied dropped directly under the tongue.

That being said, the alcohol formula was a perfect compliment to my morning smoothie from Starbucks. 3 more dropper-fulls in my drink, and I was more than ready for the drive to Oakland.
I found 4-5 dropper-fulls of the Sativa One Tincture (48-60 mg THC) to be the perfect dose for my personal needs in the morning – it was a great way to shake off sleepiness. Further, it seemed to help improve my mood when using consuming the tincture later in the day.
