Biography

Steph Sherer is the Executive Director of Americans for Safe Access (ASA). She is a medical marijuana patient with over 11 years experience in the non-profit sector since the inception of ASA in 2002.

Responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of Ms. Sherer include event planning, consulting, fund development, public relations, and project management. Particular issues that she has tackled encompasses community development, education, social justice, human rights, peace, social change, and youth programs.

Recognized for her skill as an activist and a spokesperson, Steph has received a number of awards, including the 2003 San Diego Peacemaker of the Year. She is a guest lecturer at California University, Berkeley and George Washington University in Washington, DC, as well as a blogger for the Huffington Post.
