This batch of Pineapple Express from Varieties For Life (VFL) in Burbank, CA had some of the chunkiest flowers I have seen from this particular strain.
When I told the bud tender at VFL that I was looking for a Sativa, he didn’t hesitate a second before reaching for the jar of chunky Pineapple Express. “You won’t see another batch of Pineapple Express like this,” he said. He was probably right, these flowers were some of the most resinous buds I’ve seen in a while.
When I stuck my nose in the jar I detected a skunky pineapple smell with undertones of lemon and pine. The taste was very similar to the smell, extremely sweet and fruity.

Although this strain is rumored to be a cross of Hawaiian and Trainwreck, the Trainwreck lineage was not very physically noticeable in the resulting cross; however, the effects were very similar to Trainwreck.
Almost immediately following the first bag from the Vapir Rise, a racy, psychedelic head high set in directly behind my eyes (slight pressure could be felt) that was coupled by a mellow body buzz.
The effects, though relaxing, were more sedative than I expected from this 50/50 hybrid. About an hour after medicating with Pineapple Express, I found myself yawning & wanting to take a nap. I would recommend it to patients who want a heavy Sativa medication to relieve their pain in the morning.
