Tahoe OG: Insomnia’s Worst Nightmare

Tahoe OG Hybrid (what's this?)

The Tahoe OG strain is a phenotype of OG Kush that is known for its dense, compact buds and full bodied effects. This strain is an all around masterpiece for patients medicating before bed – it’s no wonder that a batch of it won first place on our Top 5: Night-time Strains of 2012.

The Tahoe OG Strain & Tahoe OG Kush Are Not The Same

As we know, there is a shroud of uncertainty that seems to surround a number of OG Kush strains. With that said, Tahoe OG is a well-known phenotype of OG that has been popular on the West Coast for years.

There is often some confusion about the genetics of the Tahoe OG strain. Typically, this is the result of a mix-up between the Tahoe OG strain and its offspring, Tahoe OG Kush. Whereas Tahoe OG is simply a phenotype of the classic OG, the Tahoe OG Kush strain is a completely new hybrid…sort of.

“The Tahoe OG Kush strain was the result of crossing an original Tahoe OG clone with SFV OG Kush.”

The Tahoe OG Kush strain was the result of crossing an original Tahoe OG clone with SFV OG Kush. It was bred by Swerve, the creator of the Cali Connection in an attempt to offer the Tahoe OG phenotype in seed form.

With that said, there is no guarantee that any plant grown from seed will share the same characteristics as the original mother plant. Working with breeders and lab-testing facilities, Medical Jane hopes to answer the question of exactly much each strain differs. Further, what does it all mean for patients?

How Will The Tahoe OG Cannabis Strain Affect Me?

This batch of the Tahoe OG strain looks to be manicured and grown well. It was made of nothing but dense buds that almost resemble batches of Green Crack we’ve come across in the past. The smoke tends to be ridiculously smooth with an overwhelming scent of pine and spice.

“The effects take only 2-3 minutes to kick in and they often include sedative pain relief.”

Just a few hits of the Tahoe OG strain is all you need before feeling the full-body couch lock begin to creep. You will want to find somewhere comfortable when medicating with this powerful hybrid, as you will NOT want to move.

It may be best to reserve the Tahoe OG strain for medicating in the evening or right before bed. The effects take only 2-3 minutes to kick in and they often include sedative pain relief. It seems to end all those thoughts going on in your head late at night and allows you to keep insomnia and chronic pain at bay.
