In what is a delicious option for medical marijuana patients searching for gluten-free infused edibles, Auntie Dolores has really hit the mark with their take on a classic snack – caramel popcorn.

“I love Auntie Dolores’ varied selection of edibles for those with special dietary restrictions.”
Of course it’s no secret by now that I love Auntie Dolores’ varied selection of edibles for those with special dietary restrictions. For instance, they produce medicated cheese crackers that are sugar free and gluten free, hard pretzels that are vegan and sugar free, as well as gluten free caramel corn.
While I commend Auntie Dolores for crafting such a delicious rendition of cannabis infused caramel popcorn, I was surprised to see that dark corn syrup was the third ingredient listed on the the packaging. I’ve personally been trying to limit my corn syrup intake, so it would be great to see them switch up the recipe a little.
Gluten Free, Cannabis-Infused Caramel Popcorn
We’ve reviewed the majority of Auntie Dolores’ product line over the course of the past few weeks, and I have no issues saying that they are my favorite edible company in Los Angeles.
In addition to the quality of their products, I love that fact that Auntie Dolores clearly labels each one with ingredients and nutrition information; there is really no good reason for other infused product companies to do the same. Nonetheless, Auntie Dolores lists the following ingredients for their infused caramel popcorn:
- Brown Sugar
- Dark Corn Syrup
- Kosher Salt
- Vanilla Extract
- Baking Soda
In addition to the ingredients, Auntie Dolores provides lab testing information from Steep Hill Halent for each of their products. According to their website, the test results for each package of their Caramel Popcorn is as follows:
- 127.3 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
- 4.9 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV)
- 2 milligrams of cannabichromene (CBC)
- 6.8 milligrams of cannabigerol (CBG)
- 1.1 milligram of cannabinol (CBN)
How Will Auntie Dolores’ Caramel Popcorn Affect Me?
I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure what to expect before taking my first bite of Auntie Dolores’ Caramel Popcorn – I’ve always loved the snack growing up, but I didn’t know whether the cannabis taste would mesh very well.
Sure enough, the mixture was perfect – I was hooked from the very first bite. The caramel corn flavor dominated the equation, but the subtle cannabis taste seemed to compliment it wonderfully.
“I found half a bag to be just about the perfect dose for my needs. It helped relieve any pent up stress and anxiety, making it ideal when I needed to unwind after a long day of work.”
According to the Auntie Dolores website, it is advised that low tolerance patients begin with 5-10 kernels of their caramel popcorn.
They also recommend that high tolerance patients eat anywhere from a half to a whole bag, which I would say is just about right. Still, those suffering from severe pain may need something a bit more potent.

Within a half hour of eating the Auntie Dolores Caramel Corn, I noticed that I was considerably more relaxed and the built-up tension typically housed in my neck had disappeared. In all honesty, I would be happy eating a package of this cannabis-infused caramel popcorn every day.
