The Liquor Control Board Adopted New Cannabis Laws Washington State became the second US state to adopt rules governing the legal cannabis market on Wednesday. The Washington State Liquor Control Board approved the rules after 10 months of research and public input, according to a press release. The newly adopted laws in Washington State will allow for 334 retail locations across the state, including 21 in Seattle. Maricopa County Is Not Permitted To Ban Dispensaries Superior Court Judge Michael Gordon overturned an ordinance that banned medical marijuana dispensaries in certain areas of Maricopa County, Arizona. According to his ruling, the the law was a “transparent attempt to prevent the implementation of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act. Judge Gordon issued a pre-trial verdict in favor of White Mountain Health Center, which plans to open a dispensary in Sun City.
