The Venice Cookie Company’s 4.20 Bar Combines Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt

Continuing their tradition of providing healthy infused edible option, The Venice Cookie Co. has created a vegan, gluten free chocolate bar with sea salt.

Venice Cookie Co. Provides Healthy Infused Edible Alternatives

We have had the pleasure of reviewing a number of the Venice Cookie Company’s products in the past. They are one of the most prominent infused edible companies in California and distribute their products in dispensaries throughout the state.

The 4.20 Bar product line focuses on crafting chocolate bars infused with 4.2 grams of dried cannabis. They come in an assortment of flavors, including: Milk Chocolate, Milk Chocolate + Toffee, Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt (this review), and Dark Chocolate + Popping Candy.

Every 4.20 bar is sectioned into 6 servings, which allows patients to monitor their cannabinoid intake without much effort. Each segment contains around 30 milligrams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

4.20 Bar: Vegan, Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Collides With Sea Salt

I am always happy to see infused edible manufacturers provide options for medical marijuana patients with specific dietary restrictions. The Venice Cookie Co. makes a point to provide patients with a number of healthy alternatives.

Keeping this tradition alive, the Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar is vegan and gluten free. Further, the Venice Cookie Co. website notes that it contains no corn syrup. The bar’s packaging lists the following ingredients:

In addition to the ingredients and nutritional facts, the Venice Cookie Company’s packaging displays the lab-testing information. The test-results for the Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar reveal the following cannabinoid concentrations:

How Does The Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar Taste?

The Venice Cookie Company’s Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar is best described as a twist on the classic candy bar. It consists of a creamy dark chocolate base with bits of sea salt sprinkled throughout.

“I didn’t want anything to get in the way of the infused dark chocolate.”

As mentioned, more than 60% of the chocolate used in the bar was couveture chocolate, which is known to have a more smooth, mellow flavor.

I definitely noticed a difference here. I typically do not like dark chocolate, but the 4.20 Bar was a different story entirely.

With that said, the sea salt seemed to be a bit bold for my personal preference. I found myself digging chunks of salt out of the chocolate bar before each bite. I didn’t want anything to get in the way of the infused dark chocolate that I had become so fond of. I would certainly recommend this bar to any patient with a love for the flavor of sea salt.

How Will The Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar Affect Me?

I seemed to feel uplifted and slightly energized thirty minutes after eating two sections of the Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt 4.20 Bar. In fact, I would compare the onset to that of classic Sativa strains like Jack Herer and Haze.

“It is recommended that patients consume one segment at a time until they determine the appropriate dosage for their needs.”

Still, this was soon followed by a slight body buzz that seemed to relieve any built-up stress in my shoulders for as long as three hours.

Eating an entire bar would likely amplify this affect, but it is recommended that patients consume one segment at a time until they determine the appropriate dosage for their needs.

The effects of The Venice Cookie Company’s Dark Chocolate + Sea Salt will vary depending on each individual’s tolerance level. With that said, I have found 2-3 segments to provide the ideal amount of pain and anxiety relief without bogging me down. It may be beneficial for those suffering from depression or ADHD as well.
