The HIGH TIMES Los Angeles Medical Cannabis Cup 2014 Schedule of Events

SAN BERNARDINO, CA — Medical marijuana patients and cannabis activists from all over will gather at the NOS Event Center next weekend to celebrate all that the California cannabis scene has to offer.

Founded by HIGH TIMES in 2010, the Medical Cannabis Cup is held in various cities across the United States each year. It was created as an attempt to capture the vibe from Cannabis Cups held in Amsterdam and transport it to American soil.

The first Medical Cannabis Cup was held in the San Francisco Bay Area and HIGH TIMES has added stops in Los Angeles (sort of), Seattle, and Denver in the time since.

Southern California is first on the Cannabis Cup docket in 2014 with the LA event set for February 8-9 at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino. VIP tickets, which come with a complimentary gift bag and T-shirt, are available for $85. Single-day tickets are also available for $40 (Saturday) and $30 (Sunday).

What To Expect At The Medical Cannabis Cup In San Bernardino

It should come as no surprise that the HIGH TIMES Medical Cannabis Cup is best known for the various competitions held. Medical marijuana collectives, infused edible companies, and more each lobby for bragging rights as the best California has to offer.

As is the case at the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, HIGH TIMES gives awards for the best Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid cannabis flower entries. There are additional awards given for the best cannabis concentrates, infused edibles, and ancillary products, among other categories.

That being said, the Medical Cannabis Cup is more than a competition. Thousands of people will pack the NOS Event Center to score deals on some of the most sought-after cannabis related products from the vendors that pack the event hall and meet cannabis industry leaders.

The event offers an opportunity for people to learn a great deal about cannabis and the community that surrounds it. Those interested in learning about the cannabis industry can attend a variety of educational panels moderated by the HIGH TIMES staff.

Even further, the event has a history of securing a few big name performers to grace the stage. This year’s LA Cannabis Cup will be headlined by Atlanta’s own B.o.B and Young Dro, setting the tone for an energy-filled party.
